Update: Hi Definition pictures (720P) have been added into the article.
Following on yesterday’s Original Generations article, the Famitsu website has released an article with clearer images of those in the magazine scans along with some translations and notes.
Huckebein “Code Evil”
We see yet another new Huckebein, the most flamboyant design yet. Dubbed “Code Evil”, it sports a pair of wings and a menacing looking axe/beam launcher. The pilot is named Amara and the article mentions she is hunting down Ing and the Ash (the other new Huckebein type).

Chogokin BujakuOh/JakubuOh
In OGs2 we finally have the appearance of the other Chogokin, based on the Phoenix and Tortoise. Like KoryuOh and RyukoOh, the combine into a single machine which can switch between two modes, with BujakuOh being the Tortoise mode and JakubuOh being the Phoenix version. They appear in the screenshots as an enemy unit.
It will be interesting to see if they will be acquired later in the game or not, there’s even speculation that Yuuki and Carla may end up piloting it.
BujakuOh 武雀王(ぶじゃくおう)
BujakuOh specializes in long range combat and has the highest defense between all the Chougokin.

JakubuOh 雀武王(じゃくぶおう)
JakubuOh specializes in mobility and close combat.

Twin Battle System
The system from OGs remains in the sequel. The attack types are also still the same, you can either have both units attack one enemy, one enemy each, or use an ALL attack to target both enemies in the squad.

In Original Generations, the TBS was something that you set up on the go while the stage was being played. What’s interesting is that there seems to be an intermission screen where you can have preset Twin combinations. Does this mean that the TBS is being treated as a squad system in OGs2, and we will be able to sortie more units?
Pilot/Robot Upgrades
[nggallery id=9]
Pretty much the same system as OGs, you can spend PP to buy skills for pilots or boost their stats. What’s interesting is that now weapons which are “hard mounted” onto each robot are all upgraded at the same time, previously in OGs you had to upgrade each weapon seperately. Of course, weapons which can be unequipped still have to be upgraded by themselves.
Thanks for the info mate. Looks like I was way off in my assumptions 🙂
Glad to see the TBS is still there and pretty awesome seeing the JakubuOh and the BujakuOh. I think the only things I’d still like to know is if originals from MX and D get their upgraded forms later on in the game and if Raioh/DaiRaioh are still confirmed to be in the game along with Touma Kanou pilotting him 🙂 Have to see whats revealed in the coming months.
After waiting so long for JakubuOh and BujakuOh to make an appearance, have to say I am pretty disappointed about the design.
1) Unlike its predecessors it is hard to tell they are different combined forms of the same mech.s
2) Not digging the feminine face on JakubuOh, and I don’t remember seeing pupils ever in the old mechs – make them look too human.
3) The colour palettes look like they were pulled straight from the Einst series. Again, not a big fan.
